1. All the articles booked regd/speed post have to be despatched same day.

2. day end of despatch and speednet has to be performed before point of sale day end strictly.

3. Sequence for day end / Supervisiory Verification for the project arrow is :

b. despatch
c. speed net
d. point of sale
e. postman
f. sbcash (Supervisiory Verification)
g. sub a/c
h. treasury

Offices having problem in uploading SB KPI's using Account MIS

 Offices having problem in uploading SB KPI's using Account MIS should ensure the following:

In offices where ‘Sanchay Post Project Arrow Interface’ was installed from Meghdoot 6.6 CD uninstall the ‘Sanchay Post Project Arrow Interface’ module and also delete ‘Project arrow reports’ shortcut if available in the desktop. This should be done in all the systems in which the interface was installed.

Ensure that Sanchay Post Version 6.5 is installed.

Use DBAnalyzer to check whether you have upgraded to Version 6.5 successfully.

Use patchstatus.exe to ensure that all the patches available are installed in all the systems running Sanchaypost.

While performing day end ensure that the message ‘Day end completed successfully’ is received.

Offices having difference in the number of signatures scanned shown in SB KPI's and DBAnalyzer.

Use DBAnalyzer with latest exe (dated 12/11/2009 or later)

Check for patches installed in all clients using 'Patch Status'

Go to ‘Database discrepancies’ >> ‘Account numbers with blank account status’ for ‘SB’, ‘NSS’ and ‘PPF’ and update.

Go to ‘Reports’ >> ‘Signatures without index entries’ >> and delete the entries after confirming that the account numbers listed are not existing.

Go to ‘Reports’ >> 'signature scanning report' and verify.

click on the button 'List of accounts - signature not scanned' to obtain account numbers for which Specimen Signature is not scanned. The file generated can be opened and signatures to be scanned for the accounts listed in it.

• Hon. Chief PMG has revealed that experience to interact with System Administrator was definitely wonderful  while workshop on 12th& 13th, Nov-2009, at PTC Vadodara.

• Chief PMG is very unhappy with low performance of speednet at Ellisbridge Post office.

• Chief PMG conveyed Congratulation to Postmaster Bhuj HO for his sincere efforts and appriciate his performance. It has also come to the CPMG's notice that staff of Bhuj HO is not supporting to Postmaster which is very sad.

The Secretary (Posts) and other officers from Directorate are visiting Ahmedabad on 9th and 10th November-2009 in connection with Circle / Region performance review. In this connection a copy of message dated 03.11.2009 addressed to Hon. CPMG received from Shri. A.K Roy Executive Assistant to Secretary Posts is given hereunder for detailed study, information and further action.

Respected Madam,

This is in continuation of the mail sent earlier on the subject. The template for presentation on Circle Performance Review and Financial Account have been modified. Revised CBS template will be emailed on tuesday. Presentation may kindly be made in the revised templates. As suggested earlier presentation for Rajkot and Vadodara region will be made by PMGs. Presentation for HQ region will be made by DPS HQ. Presentation on Finance & Accounts has to be made by DA (P).

As regard slides 12-15 of the template for Circel Performance Review, of only major initiatives are to be mentioned. Regular and routine efforts should be avoided. As regard initiatives on revenue generation initiatives which can bring revenue in excess of Rs. 1-2 crore should only be mentioned. Small retail initiatives may not be mentioned at all. As regard initiatives in respect of improvement in quality of services here also important initiatives having greater impact on quality of services should be mentioned. Small local initiatives having limited and localized impact should not be mentioned. Similarly for HRD initiatives leading to technology implementations small and local initiatives may not be mentioned.

As informed earlier presentation on CBS have to be made by respective Supdt., Postmaster and SBCO Supervisor in the prescribed template. Presentation for Post Offices from Gujarat Circle i.e. Navrangpura HO, Revdibazar HO, Palanpur HO, Bhuj HO, Rajpipla HO, Ahmedabad GPO, Gandhinagar HO, Bhavnagar HO, Anand HO and Surendranagar HO have to be made.

Circle may invite all Head of Divisions (Postal and RMS) for the review meeting. Detailed agenda will be sent on tuesday 3rd November,2009.

The tentive dates for the visit of Secretary (Posts) to Ahmedabad is 9th and 10th of November, 2009.

‘‘આવાં કામો પોલીસની છાપ સુધારવા માટે જરૃરી છે’’

આભાર માનવાથી પણ ‘પ્રેરણાની મહેક’ પ્રસરતી હોય છે. દિવસ દરમિયાન ટ્રાફિક પોલીસના જવાનો મેમા ફાડવાની સાથે કેટલાય લોકોને મદદરુપ પણ થતાં હોય છે. જેમ કે શહેરના વિજય ચાર રસ્તા પાસે એક સિનિયર સિટીઝન એક્ટિવા લઈને પસાર થઈ રહ્યાં હતાં, ત્યારે એક્ટિવા સ્લીપ ખાઈ જતાં તેઓ જમીન પર પટકાયા હતાં. એટલે તરત જ ત્યાં ફરજ બજાવતા ટ્રાફિક પોલીસ કોન્સ્ટેબલે સિનિયરની સિટીઝનને ઉભા કરીને પોતાના ઘેર મૂકવા સુધીની તૈયાર દર્શાવી હતી. જો કે, કોઈ પણ પ્રકારની ઈજા થઈ ન હોવાથી તેઓ ફરી એક્ટિવા લઈને ઘેર જવા નીકળી ગયા હતાં, ત્યાર બાદ તેમણે પોસ્ટ કાર્ડ લખીને ટ્રાફિક પોલીસનો આભાર વ્યક્ત કર્યો હતો.
શહેરના જાણીતા વિજય ચાર રસ્તા રોડ પર બનાવેલાં ડિવાઈડરમાં ઉગાડેલાં વૃક્ષોને મ્યુનિ.કોર્પોરેશનના ટેન્કરો મારફતે પાણીનું સિંચન કરવામાં આવે છે. જો કે, ઘણીવાર ટેન્કરમાં પાણી વધારે હોવાથી રસ્તા પર ઢોળતું હોય છે અને તેને લીધે દ્વિચક્રી વાહનો સ્લીપ થતાં હોય છે. બસ, રસ્તા પર પાણી ઢોળાયું હોવાથી રવિવારના રોજ બપોરના સમયે સનિયર સિટીઝન અને પૂર્વ આચાર્ય સનત જાની એક્ટિવા લઈને પસાર થઈ રહ્યાં હતાં ત્યારે એક્ટિવા સ્લીપ ખાઈ જતાં તેઓ નીચે પટકાયા હતાં. જો કે, તરત જ ફરજ પર હાજર ટ્રાફિક પોલીસ કોન્સ્ટેબલ અમૃતલાલ પટણીએ એક્ટિવા રોડની બાજુમાં મૂક્યું, સિનિયર સિટીઝનને થોડું પાણી આપ્યું અને જરુર હોય તો સારવાર અર્થે હોસ્પિટલ લઈ જવા સુધીની તૈયાર દર્શાવી. જો કે, કોઈ પ્રકારની ઈજા ન થતાં સિનિયર સિટીઝને સારવારની ‘ના’ કહીને ઘેર જવા પ્રયાણ કર્યું.
બીજી તરફ તા.૪થી નવેમ્બરના રોજ ફરજ પર હાજર ટ્રાફિક પોલીસ કોન્સ્ટેબલ અમૃતભાઈ પટણીને ટપાલી એક પોસ્ટકાર્ડ આપી ગયો હતો. એમાં લખેલાં શબ્દો આ પ્રમાણે છે : ‘‘માનનીય શ્રી, નામ ના જાણતો હોવાથી નામ વગર આ પત્ર લખી રહ્યો છું. બપોરના લગભગ ૧૧-૪૫ કલાકે કોફી બાર પાસે હું એક્ટિવા પરથી પડી ગયો હતો. ઢોળાયેલાં પાણીને કારણે મારું એક્ટિવા સ્લીપ ખાઈ ગયું હતું. તમે અને અન્ય મિત્રોએ જે મદદ કરી તે બદલ હું આભાર માનું છું. આવાં કામો પોલીસની છાપ સુધારવા માટે ખૂબ જ જરૃરી છે. તમે દર્શાવેલી સહાનુભૂતિ અને તમે કરેલી મદદ બદલ આભાર. લી.સનત જાની, પૂર્વ આચાર્ય, હિરામણી સ્કૂલ.’’
સિનિયર સિટીઝન સનત જાની રસ્તા પર પડી ગયા, ત્યારે જે પોલીસ કોન્સ્ટેબલે મદદ કરી તેમનું નામ તેઓ જાણતાં ન હતાં. એટલે પોસ્ટકાર્ડ લખવું કયા નામ અને સરનામે ? એટલે તેમણે પોસ્ટકાર્ડમાં એવું સંબોધન આપ્યું હતું કે, ‘‘ટ્રાફિક પોલીસ કોન્સ્ટેબલ, વિજય ચાર રસ્તા પાસે, કોફી બારની સામે, નવરંગપુરા, અમદાવાદ.’’ આમ, નામ વગર આ રીતે લખેલું પોસ્ટકાર્ડ પણ કોન્સ્ટેબલ અમૃતભાઈ પટણીને મળી ગયું. અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય બાબત એ છે કે, ટપાલ પહોંચાડવાનું કામગીરી કરી રહેલાં ટપાલીઓ પણ નામ વગરની ટપાલ યોગ્ય વ્યક્તિ સુધી પહોંચાડીને પ્રેરણાના સેતુ રચવાની ઉદાહરણીય કામગીરી કરી રહ્યાં છે.
સિનિયર સિટીઝન સનત જાનીએ પોસ્ટકાર્ડમાં એક વાક્ય લખ્યું હતું કે, ‘‘આવાં કામો પોલીસની છાપ સુધારવા માટે જરૃરી છે.’’ આમ, પોલીસની છાપ સુધારવા માટે કેટલીક પોલીસ જવાનો ‘હેલ્પીંગ હેન્ડ’ બનીને માનવતા દાખવી રહ્યાં છે, જેનું અનુસરણ ટ્રાફિક પોલીસના તમામ જવાનો કરવું જોઈએ.

Solution for SBLAN2V2 in SQL-2005 environment.

Please copy the file SQLCMD.EXE (keep it somewhere as backup file) in binn folder and rename the said copied file as ISQL.EXE this will solve the problem.

SQL -2005 is case sensetive heceforth please take care while entering 'sa' password configuring SBLAN2V2 programme- it should inveriably be exact as it is.
If your 'sa' password is in small case and SBLAN2V2 is not accepting small case, in such case you should have to replace HPO_DTLs.dbf file with fresh one or one can change 'sa' password suitably.
